So the other night, when I was trying to fall asleep but couldn't, I kept thinking of all the things that annoy me when I am trying to sleep. I thought that I would make a list and note it here just incase anyone else is the same... Total randomness, but oh well!!

1. My nose whistle. I know that sounds weird and gross but I have my nose pierced and ever since I have gotten it pierced, the nose ring has given me a nose whistle.

2. When I can hear the man who lives in the basement's TV and phone calls through the vent in my 2nd floor bedroom.

3. When the dogs bark at air. Or maybe raccoons, who knows. All I know is that I am too lazy to get out of bed to see what they are howling at.

4. When the little sister and her boyfriend are having an argument. She isn't the type to care that there are other people who live in the room next to hers so she is going to be as loud as she wants.

5. When someone sends a dumb/random text.

6. When it's too cold to go with out covers, but too hot to have the comforter on.

7. Well.. There might be a #7, but I can't remember it so I must have fallen asleep...

Easy Rider

So I figure I better update this little ole blog of mine. It has been so neglected.

This is the last layout I did. I did it for's Scraplift the Person Before You challenge. I lifted a layout from Auntie T's gallery.

This is my dad and stepmom with my adorable (yet sassy!) niece when she was around 1. This was her first and last motorcycle ride as my dad hasn't taken the bike out for awhile and Tooter Fruiter doesn't really enjoy loud noises...

Products Used:
Everything is Jenni Bowlin exept for the sun pp (Echo Park) and the crisscross blue scalloped pp (Bella Blvd)

I think that I have lost my umphf for scrapbooking. I am hoping that it is only wanting to play hide and seek because I have WAAAY too much stuff to just stop now. I do enjoy it, but right now I just don't even want to look at my little corner and that is very difficult because it is in my bedroom. Oh well, it will find me soon (I hope!).

The Glee Project

The Glee Project... What can I say about this show except that it was AMAZING!! I was hooked from day one and have watched all the episodes. Last night was the finale and I do have to say that I was like a little girl on Christmas morning waiting to see what Santa brought me.. My heart was pounding so fast and hard. I was excited to hear that Alex and Lindsay didn't win, and then it was down to Samuel and Damian. I was thinking, the one I'm rooting for is going to win. He just might actually win. Then, Samuel won. I'm not going to lie, I was disappointed. I may have frowned and pouted for awhile and screamed "REALLY?" at the TV. Then Ryan Murphy said that he liked Damian as well and that he has won a 7 episode stint on Glee!!!! WHAT?!?!!? He actually won too?!! I think I may have let out a little screech I was that excited! It was a good thing that my window air conditioner was on otherwise my little sister might have thought I have lost my mind. I'm still super excited that my 'little Irish boy' won and that I will be watching him on Glee season 3!!

So here I will leave you with some photos of Damian. Oh how adorable you are! (Sorry if these are pixelated, I borrowed them off of The Glee Project website.)

Eep!!! I'm still so happy! Even though he will never read this, CONGRATULATIONS DAMIAN!

Self-Portrait & Baking

Woot, woot! I am on a roll! I don't think I have ever scrapbooked this many pages in a row (4 in 3 days). Well, maybe except for when I did my little sister's scrapbook for her graduation gift.

Anyways, here is my cutie niece taking her very first self-portrait at my town's summerfest parade last year (2010).  I think it turned out pretty darn cute!

I used a sketch from PageMaps.
Materials Used:
Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye
Cardstock: American Crafts
Number Stickers: Kiaser Crafts
Letters: Cricut (Doodletype)
Punch: Martha Stewart
Other: Sharpie, White Pen, Buttons

Brooklynn LOVES to help me bake.  Well, she likes to add a few ingredients and then eat the batter.

I lifted a layout by Suzy Plantamura from either Creating Keepsakes or Scrapbooks, etc.  I can't remember which one though..
Materials Used:
Patterned Paper: Echo Park, October Afternoon
Cardstock: Die Cuts with a View
Flowers: Prima
Letters: Cricut (Doodletype)

As always, thank you for looking! I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Sweet Baby & Zoo Safari

So I finally did so scrapbooking layouts.  It has been awhile since I did any of these.

I signed up for's July's Scraplift the Peroson Before You and I lifted Bubblegirl. This is of my sweet niece and me when she was 4 days old. When she was born, she got an infection and had to go to the NICU for 2 weeks.  It was scary seeing her in there, but she pulled through and is a happy, high energy little 3 year old.  I love this little girl so so much!
Materials Used:
Making Memories: pink scalloped pp
Echo Park: green crisscross, little heart, purple striped (title), and yellow scallop; stickers
Die Cuts with a View: blue journaling strips
Prima: Flowers

This is from last October when we went to the Omaha zoo for a little family day trip. Baby B was really excited to go. From what I heard, she was a little impatient waiting for me to get off of work. I used a sketch from Becky Fleck's  PageMaps 2 book.
Materials Used:
The Paper Studio: kraft cardstock, red cardstock (under the animal stickers)
Bella Blvd: teal crisscross pp, yellow/orange circles pp, flower pp, gray dotted pp, pink flower pp
Bazzill Dotted Swiss: teal cardstock (under the animal stickers)
Doodlebug Designs: animal, title stickers
Little Yellow Bicycle: pink letter stickers

I hope everyone's weekend is awesome.  This weekend was my town's summerfest.  We had a parade yesterday and I walked along side my employer's float.  It was a western themed float.  It was super hot, but really fun.  Last night, they also had an Amazing Race and I had to sit at one of the stops and make sure the teams finished their challenge.  It is just like the show.  The teams get a clue and have to figure out where they have to go and then they have a challenge they have to complete.  I was at stop number 3 and their challenge there was one team member had to eat a whole can of Spam and a pint of ice cream.  We only made them eat half of both because I think all the teams would still be there trying to eat that stuff.  Ick.  It was fun though!

Randomness About Me

Allison of Crafted Love did a few posts about her and I thought that it was awesome way to get to know someone in the blog world, so I have decided to do some randomness about me posts..

1. I still live at home with the parentals (my dad and stepmom).

2. I want my own place really bad!!

3. I'm allergic to nickel and have to buy either the really expensive earrings or the really cheap Wal-Mart nickel free earrings, and since I don't have a ton of extra money, it's the latter.

4. I have a huge celebrity crush on Matthew Gray Gubler. He's just so adorable!

All pictures found via Google

5. I've had my nose pierced since I was 18. (I will be 25 next week) My dad told me that I had to wait until I turned 18 because he told me he wasn't going to go with me to get another piercing.

6. I have 5 piercings in my left ear and 3 in my right ear.

7. I have 1 tattoo on my left foot.

So I suppose that I should update this little old blog of mine. It has been pretty neglected lately. :(

Today was a pretty sad day. As some of you know, I work in a daycare and last Wednesday, one of our 1 year old passed away. Today was her funeral. She will be dearly missed and the suffering her family is going through breaks my heart. So I just wanted to let you know that is where my head has been the past few days.
